In a tragic accident near Kurpadi bus stop in Hosuru village, a car rammed into a roadside tree, claiming the life of the driver.

The victim, identified as Srikanth Acharya (38), was driving from Hebri on March 12 when a cow suddenly obstructed the road. In an effort to evade the animal, he veered onto the dirt shoulder, but lost control, crashing into a tree.

Srikanth sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Manipal Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at 1:25 AM on March 13.

Brahmavar police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
