In a distressing incident, five individuals sustained serious injuries following a bee attack in Manur, under the jurisdiction of Kota gram panchayat, on the morning of November 26. The victims were engaged in constructing a compound wall when the incident occurred.

The injured individuals have been identified as mason Haji Ibrahim Parampalli and workers Mohammed Parampalli, Prabhakar, and Shekhar Poojary. Witnesses reported that a swarm of bees suddenly descended upon the workers without warning, stinging them repeatedly and causing severe distress. Despite the chaos, the victims managed to flee to the safety of a nearby road, averting further danger.

Local residents promptly came to their aid, arranging transportation to a hospital in Kundapur for immediate medical attention. Medical staff reported that the victims suffered multiple stings, requiring urgent care, but their condition is stable.

Bee attacks in the region, though uncommon, have been reported in the past, often triggered by disturbances to nearby hives. Residents have been advised to exercise caution, especially when working outdoors or in areas with dense vegetation.

This incident highlights the need for safety measures and awareness to prevent such occurrences in the future. The authorities may also consider initiatives to identify and safely relocate hives in populated areas to minimize risks.

The community has expressed concern for the injured workers and extended support to their families during their recovery.
