Mariyam Shaharin (26), a resident of Siddapura, has lodged a complaint with the Kundapur rural police station, reporting the theft of three gold bangles weighing 100 grams and valued at Rs 4.8 lakh. The stolen bangles were kept inside a suitcase in her home.

As per Mariyam’s account, she had left for her father-in-law Mohammed Qasim’s house on August 22 to attend a housewarming ceremony and a wedding at Kalkamba in Shetrakatte, Gulvadi village. After returning to her residence on the evening of August 26, she placed the three gold bangles and other ornaments in a suitcase along with some clothes.

The following evening, on August 27, when she opened the suitcase, she was shocked to find the gold ornaments missing. Disturbed by the theft, she promptly reported the incident to the local police. The Kundapur rural police have registered a case and are actively investigating the theft to recover the stolen ornaments and identify the culprits.
