High-Speed Collision Claims Life of Shivapura Youth

Udupi: A devastating accident on the night of January 4 at Rampura in Shivapura village, near Hebri, resulted in the death of Rahul (25), a resident of Shivapura Moorsalu and an RSS Pramukh.

The tragedy unfolded around 11:30 pm when a speeding Swift car, driven by Arun in a reportedly negligent manner on the wrong side of the road, crashed into Rahul’s bike. The impact hurled Rahul off his vehicle, causing critical injuries.

Local resident Suresha immediately rushed the injured Rahul to Hebri Hospital for emergency treatment. He was later transferred to Manipal Hospital for specialized care. Despite the medical efforts, Rahul succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission.

At the time of the accident, Rahul was on his way home after attending a play at Mullugudde School. The incident underscores the dire consequences of reckless driving and excessive speed.
