Shiruru: In a key enforcement action, authorities in Kelapete Usmania Mohalla of Shiruru village intercepted an illegal cattle transport and suspected beef sale operation. The accused, identified as Mohammad Sajid, was allegedly involved in preparing to sell beef without the necessary authorization.

Officials found that Sajid had unlawfully confined four cattle with the intent to trade them for slaughter—violating provisions of the law.

Acting swiftly, Byndoor police booked a case under Crime No. 114/2025, invoking Sections 7 and 12 of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2020.

The accused has since been detained and will be presented before the magistrate as part of the ongoing legal process.
