Belman: The MCC Bank Ltd. achieved another milestone in its journey towards enhanced customer service and banking excellence with the inauguration of its 9th ATM at the Belman Branch on Saturday, 9 August 2025.

Ceremony marks a significant step in service expansion

The event was presided over by Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Ltd. The ATM was inaugurated by Shodhan Kumar Shetty, Proprietor of Manya Developers and Hotel Suraj Inn, Belman, and blessed by Rev. Fr Fredrick Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of St Joseph Church, Belman. The inaugural cash withdrawal was made by Fredrick Vincent Andrade.

Distinguished guests grace the event

The programme saw the presence of Chief Guest Francis D’Souza, Proprietor of St Joseph Earth Movers and St Joseph Fuels, Belman, along with Dominic Andrade, Headmaster of St Joseph English Medium School, Belman. The event began with a welcome address by Branch Manager Shiny Lasrado, followed by a floral welcome to dignitaries and an opening prayer by Dealle and Alwyn D’Souza.

Chairman highlights growth and achievements

In his presidential address, Chairman Anil Lobo reflected on the bank’s steady growth and adherence to RBI norms. He proudly announced that the Belman branch alone had crossed a turnover of ₹5 crore. Brahmavara branch achieved ₹10 crore in turnover within a year, while Byndoor branch began operations with over 100 new accounts. He revealed plans for further expansion, with more ATMs and branches to improve accessibility and service. Lobo credited customers for their unwavering trust and extended gratitude to all guests for their encouragement.

Community leaders commend the bank

Shodhan Kumar Shetty praised MCC Bank for its services and contribution to Belman’s community, noting the strong local support for the branch. Rev. Fr Fredrick Mascarenhas lauded the bank’s standards, comparing them to those of nationalised banks, and appreciated its personalised customer service. Dominic Andrade thanked the loyal customers who have supported the bank’s growth.

Tokens of appreciation and closing remarks

Chairman Lobo presented mementoes to the chief guests as a gesture of gratitude. The event was compered by Ristesh D’Souza, who also delivered the vote of thanks. Vice Chairman Jerald Jude D’Souza, directors Dr Freeda D’Souza and Dr Gerald Pinto, General Manager Sunil Menezes, Deputy General Manager Raj Menezes, staff, and customers were also present.
