Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister for Women and Child Development, Empowerment of the Disabled and Senior Citizens, and in-charge of the district administration, visited the Anganwadi centre in Kadiyali on June 12. She conducted a thorough inspection of the premises, including the children’s classrooms, kitchen facilities, and record rooms.
During her visit, Hebbalkar emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the Anganwadi to ensure a conducive environment for the workers and assistants.
Addressing concerns about waterborne diseases, particularly with the onset of recent rains, Hebbalkar stressed the need for preventive measures against diseases like dengue, which can spread through mosquito bites.
Hebbalkar also interacted with the children, reviewed the play materials provided to them, and listened to their recitation of rhymes.
Dr. K Vidyakumari, DC, Pratheek Bayal, CEO of Zilla Panchayat, Dr. Arun K, SP, Shyamala, Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Department, along with other officials, accompanied Hebbalkar during her visit.
