Udupi – A distinctive national program focusing on rainforests and the creation of forest biological granaries will be held at the historic Thousand Pillar Basadi in Moodbidri on August 15. The event is jointly organised by the Jain Kashi Trust, Jain Math Moodbidri, Moodbidri Alva’s College, and the Oriental Research Center, Udupi, announced Prof. S.A. Krishnaiah, Director of the Oriental Research Center.
Addressing the press, Prof. Krishnaiah said the program will be inaugurated by Dr. Swasti Sri Charukirthi Bhattarak Swamiji. Notable guests include former minister Pramod Madhwaraj, president of Moodbidri Alva’s Education Foundation Vivek Alva, businessman Vishwanath Shenoy, Prof. U.C. Niranjan, and Dr. Gananath Ekkar.
