Karkala: Zaneta Velika D’Souza, a second-year electronics and communication engineering student at Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial College of Technology, showcased her exceptional talent in skating by winning silver and bronze medals at the 40th Karnataka Championship and Selection Trials 2024–2025.
The competition, organised by the Karnataka Roller Skating Association, took place in Mysuru from November 7 to 10. Representing the Coastal Roller Skating Club, Udupi, Zaneta competed in the speed quad women’s category (above 17 years) and secured her spot in the upcoming national-level competition.
A Proud Moment for Udupi
Zaneta, hailing from Udupi, is the daughter of Agnello D’Souza and Jacintha Rose D’Souza. She attributes her success to the guidance of her coaches, Shri Manish Bangera and Shri Kishore Kumar, who have been instrumental in honing her skills.
Her achievement brings pride to her college and the Udupi district, highlighting her dedication and the support of her mentors and family. The national-level competition now awaits her, where she aims to continue her winning streak.
