Police arrest youth for creating viral stunts on railway tracks

Padubidri police have initiated three separate cases following the circulation of a viral video showing two minor boys near the Hejmady railway track. The video depicted the boys allegedly stealing railway property and riding a scooter.

The boys’ father filed a complaint claiming that railway staff assaulted his children during the incident. While the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the railway department, legal action will be taken against the minors based on a report from Konkan Railway’s legal division.

Additionally, the police have registered a case related to the alleged assault and will take legal action against the father for allowing the minors to operate a scooter.

The case is being handled in compliance with Supreme Court guidelines and the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights to ensure proper legal procedures are followed in dealing with minors in conflict with the law.
