Kundapur, Jun 21: Byndoor MLA Gururaj Gantihole chaired a meeting at the auditorium of Kundapur Taluk Panchayat to review the progress of the Jaljeevan Mission with officials of the Byndoor legislative constituency.

During the meeting, MLA Gantihole gathered updates on the implementation of Jaljeevan Mission and directed officials to expedite the resolution of issues affecting the construction of tanks and pipelines, particularly those requiring permissions from the forest department.

Gantihole emphasized the need for joint surveys between the Forest and Revenue departments to clarify deemed forest issues hindering project progress. He urged engineers from Subhadra Constructions and Jaljeevan Mission to address drinking water challenges across all gram panchayats in the constituency.

Zilla Panchayat engineer Rajkumar committed to personally inspect and resolve tanker and pipeline issues, acknowledging technical obstacles and permissions required in certain areas.

The MLA also addressed concerns about incomplete works under Jaljeevan Mission in several villages and set a 10-day deadline for resolving highway issues, including unscientific work on highways, service roads, underground drainage systems, and bus shelter construction.
