Udupi: Indian cricketer and T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, accompanied by his wife Devisha Shetty, visited the Kaup Marigudi Temple during the Gadduge Pratishtha celebrations.
Having strong ties to the region through his wife, Yadav had previously visited the temple and contributed a pillar towards its development. Witnessing the ongoing construction of the Kapu Mariamman Temple, he expressed awe at the temple’s grandeur and progress.
During his visit, he pledged to return for the Brahmakalashotsava festival to offer special prayers. Notably, he had also admired the revered Kapu Mariamman Karnika during an earlier visit. Interestingly, soon after his previous trip, he was appointed captain of India’s T20 team.
As a token of appreciation, the temple committee honored Suryakumar Yadav and his wife, recognizing their visit as a special moment in the ongoing celebrations.
