Udupi: In a heartbreaking incident on Sunday evening, a woman named Bhadra lost her life after being struck by a car in Byndoor. The accident took place on National Highway 66, as Bhadra was crossing the road near Nambiar Clinic in Navunda village.
According to police reports, the car, allegedly driven by Rakesh, was traveling at high speed from Byndoor towards Kundapur when it veered left and collided with Bhadra. The impact caused her to fall onto the road, resulting in severe injuries. Immediate action was taken, and she was rushed to Kundapur Government Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Authorities have registered a case at the Byndoor Police Station, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident. This incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving.
