A heartbreaking incident occurred in Hebri taluk on April 26, when Sanketh Shetty, a 24-year-old man, tragically slipped and drowned in the Seethanadi River at Thingale.

Sanketh, son of Sudhakar Shetty from Kinny Gudde, Hebri, had been enjoying a visit to the river with his friends when the accident took place. Despite efforts to save him, Sanketh lost his life in the tragic accident.

Sanketh was an active member of the Hebri Gram Panchayat’s rehabilitation division for persons with disabilities and was involved in several community organizations, including Hebri JCI. Known for his warm, ever-smiling nature, he was beloved by all who knew him.
