In a proud moment for Udupi district, four police personnel have been chosen for the inaugural DG and IGP Commendation Medal for 2024–25 — a first-of-its-kind recognition in Karnataka.

Among the awardees is Udupi Superintendent of Police Dr Arun K, recognised for his exemplary leadership and service.

Joining him are:

  • Sub-Inspector Violet Femina from Malpe Coastal Security Police,

  • Head Constable Gurudas of Kundapur traffic police station, and

  • Armed Reserve Head Constable Santosh from the Udupi district armed reserve unit.

    • The medals will be formally conferred at a ceremony in Bengaluru on May 21, celebrating their dedication and outstanding contribution to law enforcement in the state.
