Udupi: The Udupi district administration has issued a warning to the public about a fake pamphlet circulating on social media that falsely claims to offer state and central government loan facilities.
The pamphlet, which has been widely shared over the past two days, includes only a phone number and provides no details about the organization or its address, raising serious concerns about its authenticity.
In response to the growing circulation, the district administration issued a press release cautioning the public against engaging with the pamphlet. “These activities are being carried out without official authorization from the appropriate authorities,” the release stated.
The administration highlighted that the pamphlet’s lack of information about the organization’s name or address casts doubt on its legitimacy. Residents have been advised not to share personal information or enter into any transactions with those involved.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the district administration will not be held responsible for any consequences if individuals choose to engage with the pamphlet despite the warning. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activities to local authorities and rely only on official government channels for information on legitimate loan facilities.
