Udupi– Panic gripped Vidyodaya Public School in Udupi on Monday after an anonymous email claimed a bomb had been planted on the campus. Acting swiftly, Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar confirmed that the Udupi Town Police secured the school and launched a full-scale search operation.

The police were assisted by the Anti-Sabotage Team, Dog Squad, and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, who combed the premises thoroughly. Fortunately, no explosives were found, and the threat was declared a hoax after a detailed inspection.

The school was handed back to authorities after all security protocols were completed. SP Shankar stated that legal proceedings will be initiated against those behind the false threat, which caused unnecessary fear and disruption.
