The Udupi Rural Bunts Association Charitable Trust, Kuntalanagar, in collaboration with MRG Group, is organising its third annual ‘Mega Udyog Mela’ on November 16 and 17 at the Skill Development Centre in Kuntalanagar, Manipur village. Ashok Kumar Shetty, President of the Charitable Trust, announced the event, noting that it aims to bridge employment gaps in the region.
The two-day job fair will commence with candidate registrations at 9:00 AM on November 16. At 9:45 AM, the inauguration will be led by MRG Group Chairman Dr. K. Prakash Shetty. The closing ceremony is scheduled for November 17 at 11:45 AM.
The fair is open to engineering, diploma, and ITI students from IT, mechanical, electrical, computer science, and civil branches, including final-year students. Around 1,000 vacancies are available for engineers, and over 500 positions are open for graduates with degrees in BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, MCA, MBA, and MSc. Over 1,300 candidates secured jobs in previous fairs, and this year, an estimated 1,200 to 1,500 candidates are expected to receive placements.
Participation is free, with no registration fee required. The event’s goal, as highlighted by the Trust and MRG Group, is to reduce unemployment in the area by connecting job seekers with opportunities.
Program Director Prof. Divya Rani Pradeep encouraged final-year students in eligible fields to attend, with each candidate allowed to interview with five companies and requested to bring five copies of their bio-data. Also present at the announcement were Interview Committee Chairman Guruprashanth, Trust Treasurer Vijith Shetty, and Trust Coordinator Padmanabha Hegde.
