Udupi: Prajwal Shenoy, a young adventurer from Shirva, Udupi district, has received a rare Centennial bike worth ₹14.5 lakh from Hero MotoCorp after completing an extraordinary journey across 17 Indian states on a 25-year-old Hero Honda Splendor.
Accompanied at times by his father, Rajendra Shenoy, Prajwal rode over 50,000 km in five years — from pilgrimages like Ayodhya, Tirupati, and Shirdi to challenging terrain in Ladakh. His dedication and loyalty to the Splendor earned him the title of “Best Customer” from Hero MotoCorp.
To honour his incredible effort, the company gifted him one of only 101 limited-edition Centennial bikes, created to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of Hero’s founder, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal. The ceremonial handover took place at Shakti Hero, Udupi.
A Hero representative described the gesture as recognition of safe and passionate riding. “This is not just a bike, it’s a token of appreciation for a journey driven by spirit and faith,” they said.
Speaking to the media, Prajwal shared, “It all started with a trip to Bengaluru five years ago. Our bike never gave trouble — just basic oil and fuel care. That built my confidence.” His travels have since spanned major pilgrimages and a solo Ayodhya ride, as well as a 12-day Ladakh trip, beginning from Delhi after transporting the bike by train.
