Udyavar couple tragically passes away within a day

In a heartbreaking incident, Lawrence D’Sa, the vice president of the Udyavar parish pastoral committee, and his wife Juliana D’Sa, a government primary school teacher, passed away within a day of each other.

Lawrence, who had been receiving treatment in the ICU of a private hospital, passed away on Friday, November 29. His wife, Juliana, passed away at their residence on Thursday, November 28. Lawrence was also a senior member of the Udyavara gram panchayat and actively involved in local organizations, including the Lions Club.

Juliana, a respected teacher, had served in several schools, including St. Francis Xavier Higher Primary School in Udyavara and Main Government Higher Primary School in Bailur, Karkala. She was known for her simplicity and beloved by her students. She also served as the treasurer of the Lions Club and had received several sports medals.

The couple is survived by their son, daughter, the student community, and an extended family. The news has left the community in mourning.
