Members of ICYM and YCS/YSM from Harihar parish came together to plant saplings, aiming to enhance the local environment by increasing green cover and promoting biodiversity. The event, held at ‘Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica,’ saw active participation from church leaders and the community.

Fr Franklin D’Souza, Youth Director of the Diocese of Shimoga, Fr Alwin Stanislaus, Youth Director of Little Flower Deanary, Fr George KA, Parish Priest of Harihar, and Bro Allen James, along with Deacon Anthony Raj SDB, led the initiative. Alongside the enthusiastic ICYM and YCS/YSM members, they planted around 15 saplings, contributing to a greener future.

The event was deemed a success, with strong community involvement and a positive impact on the local environment. Participants were inspired to take meaningful steps towards sustainability and environmental conservation.
