Udupi, Jun 21: Karnataka Police encountered a dramatic situation in Noida as they attempted to serve a notice to YouTuber Ajeet Bharti following an FIR lodged against him in Bengaluru. The notice was issued after Bharti allegedly made false claims about statements attributed to Rahul Gandhi, prompting a complaint from a Congress worker.
According to reports, three Karnataka Police personnel, including a police sub-inspector, traveled to Noida to deliver the notice under Section 41(A) of the CrPC. However, their efforts were met with interference from the Uttar Pradesh Police, leading to a tense standoff outside Bharti’s residence.
Bharti, in his response on social media, recounted the incident and thanked local police for their assistance after he alerted them to the situation.
The development sparked a wave of support for Bharti from BJP leaders and right-wing activists on social media, who criticized the Congress-led Karnataka government for what they perceived as unnecessary harassment.
