A fatal road accident occurred near Arate Bridge on Monday night when a private bus crashed into a parked Innova, killing the car’s driver, Nasir Siddique, a resident of Musa Nagar, Bhatkal. Siddique was returning home from Mangaluru after a hospital visit with his family.
Around 8:45 p.m., Siddique pulled over to the roadside after hearing a strange noise from his vehicle. While inspecting the car, a bus traveling from Kundapur to Gangolli collided with the car’s door, inflicting severe injuries on Siddique. He passed away en route to the hospital.
The Gangolli police have registered a case, and PSI Harish R. and his team are investigating the incident.
