Immediate Response and Investigation

Bandolkar was swiftly transported to a hospital in Belagavi for urgent medical attention. Uttara Kannada Superintendent of Police (SP) Vishnuvardhan visited the Ramanagar Police Station following the incident to assess the situation.

Allegations of Misconduct

In a recorded video inside the ambulance, Bandolkar accused a Ramanagar Sub-inspector (SI) of misconduct. He claimed that the SI had allegedly seized Rs 3.5 lakh during an investigation but officially reported only Rs 30,000. Despite informing the SP about this discrepancy and misconduct, Bandolkar stated no action was taken against the officer. He asserted that the harassment continued unabated for months.

Call for Justice

The incident has raised concerns and demands for justice as investigations continue into the circumstances leading to Bandolkar’s drastic action. Authorities are under pressure to address the allegations and ensure accountability in the police department.
