Laborer Dies of Heart Attack During NREGA Project Work

Tragedy struck during the execution of the NREGA project in Malavi reservoir of Hagaribommanahalli taluk, as a laborer succumbed to a heart attack while diligently carrying out his duties.

The deceased, Kadli Raghavendra (45), hailing from Masari Nelkudri village, was actively engaged in the dredging work associated with the NREGA project. However, amidst his laborious efforts, Raghavendra was suddenly gripped by severe chest pain, leading to his collapse on the worksite.

Efforts were swiftly made to transport him to the taluk hospital for medical intervention. Despite the prompt response and medical attention, Raghavendra remained unresponsive to treatment and tragically passed away, leaving behind a void in the hearts of his family, colleagues, and community.

Expressing condolences for the untimely demise, Ramesh Mahalingapura, the Assistant Director of NREGA, lamented the loss of a dedicated laborer who tirelessly contributed to the project’s objectives. The incident serves as a poignant reminder of the risks associated with manual labor, underscoring the importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of workers engaged in such endeavors.
