A shocking incident in Vijayapura has left locals stunned after a government employee was violently attacked and killed in broad daylight. The victim, Renuka Sayabanna Kannolli (30), was commuting on her two-wheeler near Tippu Sultan Circle in Indira Nagar when she was allegedly intercepted by Sanju Banasode, who launched a brutal assault on her.

The alleged motive is believed to be a personal dispute linked to an “immoral relationship”. Eyewitnesses say Renuka was severely beaten, sustaining critical injuries. She was immediately taken to the district hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
