
Leopard and Cubs Spotted Near Nagaradinni Village in Vijayapura District
Vijayapura, Aug 22: A leopard and its cubs were sighted near Nagaradinni village in Kolhar taluk on Monday night, causing concern among the local residents. The first sighting was reported by Suresh Kubakaddi, a local farmer, who noticed the wild animals near his farm. Another leopard was later spotted near the farm of Mahadev Kolkar, further heightening anxiety in the area.
The movement of the mother leopard and her cubs was captured on CCTV cameras installed on a farm, confirming their presence. The sightings have sparked panic among the residents of Nagaradinni village.
Local authorities, including Forest Officer Basavaraj Konnur and Kolhar Tehsildar S. S. Nayakalmath, visited the area to assess the situation. They have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the animals immediately. The officials have assured the public that necessary steps will be taken to capture the leopards and ensure the safety of the community.
