Tahsildar Pradip Kumar Hiremath, the Tehsildar of Sindagi, has displayed his deep love for the environment by single-handedly planting 100 saplings over the course of two days. From morning till evening, he dedicated his time and effort to this task.
The staff of the town’s transport unit joined in this noble cause by planting 100 saplings in their hostel premises without any external help.
Rajeeva Biradara, the Zonal Forest Officer of the Regional Forest Department, commended their efforts and said, “They diligently worked from Friday onwards and planted saplings in all available spaces until Saturday evening. They then covered them with soil and protected them with thorns.”
In response to being praised for his actions, Tehsildar Pradip Kumar Hiremath humbly stated that he did not do it for publicity but rather for personal satisfaction. He believes that every government officer should strive to contribute towards environmental conservation.
