A 19-year-old youth died after allegedly crashing his motorcycle into a bus near Kannolli tollgate in Sindagi taluk of Vijayapura district, in what police suspect to be a case of suicide linked to a personal dispute.
Collision triggers fire, rider dies on spot
The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Saibagouda Nagaralli (19), a resident of Allapur Layout in Sindagi town. According to police, he was riding a Royal Enfield motorcycle when he collided head-on with a government bus near Kannolli Cross.
The impact caused the bike to catch fire, with flames spreading partially to the bus. The rider was charred to death at the scene.
Passengers escape unhurt
Bus passengers quickly disembarked after the fire broke out, preventing a major tragedy. The bus sustained partial damage before fire personnel brought the situation under control.
Social media post raises concerns
Police said the youth had shared a post on Instagram prior to the incident, indicating his intention to take the extreme step. He reportedly mentioned personal distress linked to a relationship issue and named individuals he held responsible.
Investigators suspect that emotional distress following a breakup may have led to the incident.

Sindagi fire brigade personnel extinguished the fire, while police visited the spot and launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.
