Mubashir Basheer, a 30-year-old engineer and resident of Gangolly, tragically died from a sudden heart attack while working in Saudi Arabia on September 25th. He was the son of Basheer Ahmad, who lives opposite the Jamia Mohalla police checkpoint.
Mubashir was employed at a private company in Saudi Arabia and had married two years ago, settling down with his wife, originally from Pune, Maharashtra. He is survived by his wife, parents, and a sibling.
Mubashir completed his schooling at HMM School and VKR School in Kundapur. He then pursued pre-university education at Bhandarkar College before earning an engineering degree from Anjuman College in Bhatkal. After completing his studies, he moved to Saudi Arabia to further his career.
The family awaits the completion of legal procedures in Saudi Arabia before finalising the details for his final rites.
Mubashir was well-known in his hometown for his kindness and willingness to help others. Four years ago, he opened his home for the funeral rites of a boy from Uppinangady who tragically drowned, demonstrating his compassion and support for the community. He also contributed to covering hospital expenses for an injured person during that incident.
His untimely passing has left the community in deep shock, as friends and family remember him for his generous spirit and readiness to assist those in distress. Mubashir’s legacy of kindness will be cherished by those he touched throughout his life.
