Udupi: A tragic incident occurred when a young man named Sharath, accidentally fell into the water and went missing while shooting a reels video at Arasanagundi Falls near Kollur.
On July 24, Sharath had come to Kollur in a car with his friend Gururaj. The accident occurred when he was standing on a rock and watching the water gushing out of the waterfall.
On Friday, an extensive search operation was initiated to locate him, The authorities utilized a drone camera to aid in the search efforts, but unfortunately, Sharath remained untraceable. They later sought the assistance of Jyothi Raj from Chitradurga to join in the search. However, the operation faced challenges due to heavy rainfall.
After the search operation, his body was found approximately 400 meters downstream from the spot where he had gone missing. The incident has left the community in grief and shock as they mourn the untimely demise of the young man.
