Karyavattom Sports Hub to host T20I series finale between India and New Zealand
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cricket fever is set to grip Kerala once again as the Karyavattom Sports Hub Stadium will host the final T20I of the five-match India-New Zealand series on January 31, 2026, the BCCI announced.
The T20I series will span five cities—Nagpur, Raipur, Guwahati, Vizag, and culminate in Thiruvananthapuram, promising an electrifying conclusion to the bilateral contest. The series, running from January 21 to 31, will be a key warm-up for India ahead of their T20 World Cup title defense, scheduled to be co-hosted by Sri Lanka in February–March 2026.
In addition to the T20Is, India will play a three-match ODI series in Baroda (Jan 11), Rajkot (Jan 14) and Indore (Jan 18).
Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield Stadium has emerged as a top cricket venue, having hosted six international matches in 2023, including India’s record 317-run ODI win against Sri Lanka. It also served as a venue for World Cup warm-up games, drawing strong crowds and praise for its facilities.
Fans in Kerala are eagerly awaiting the showdown, which is expected to draw a full house and create a festive cricketing atmosphere.
