Bank Manager Found Dead (Suicide) in Kodagu Branch

Madikeri: A tragic incident occurred in Kodagu on Thursday when a bank manager, Viju (46), was found dead at his workplace. Police suspect the cause to be suicide by hanging inside the Union Bank branch in Kakabbe. Viju, originally from Chingoli village in Alappuzha, Kerala, was residing with his wife, Asha, in Indiranagar, Napoklu.

Both Viju and Asha, also a Union Bank manager in Bettageri, went to work as usual on Wednesday. However, when Viju didn’t return home by his regular time of 5.30 pm, Asha grew concerned. After failed attempts to reach him on his phone, she contacted his colleagues, who discovered Viju hanging inside a room at the bank. The Napoklu police station has registered the case and initiated an investigation.
