Red Rhino, a leading name in India’s craft beer industry, has launched a state-of-the-art commercial brewery in Malur, Kolar district, Karnataka to strengthen its kegging operations. This expansion aims to enhance large-scale beer distribution, ensuring that more consumers can access Red Rhino’s signature craft beers.

The Malur facility will initially roll out Signature Lager and Hefeweizen, alongside seasonal offerings. “This investment is focused on precision, efficiency, and elevating the craft beer experience across Bangalore and beyond,” said Ashwin Nawani, Head of Business Strategy. The brewery boasts advanced cold chain logistics to maintain beer quality from production to consumption.

Starting this April, Red Rhino’s beers will be available on tap at top venues in Bangalore. Currently operating in Bangalore and Hyderabad, the company has ambitious plans for nationwide expansion, bringing premium craft beer to urban hubs across India.

The facility is also expected to create jobs in brewing, logistics, and sales while fostering collaborations with local businesses and restaurants. It features dedicated kegging lines, larger fermentation tanks, and automated quality control systems.

“With international-level infrastructure, we’ve integrated advanced fermentation and logistics technologies to ensure our beers retain their flavor and quality,” said Master Brewer Dan Satterthwaite.

India’s craft beer industry has been expanding at 22% annually since 2022, with premium craft beers growing at 27% CAGR. This trend reflects changing consumer preferences and an increasing appreciation for artisanal brewing techniques.

At the core of this expansion is BEVERA, Red Rhino’s new ERP system, automating the brewing-to-delivery process, ensuring seamless operations and faster distribution.
