A 24-year-old man, identified as Nitin Mandal, tragically lost his life after his motorcycle skidded off the road and crashed into roadside bushes in the Kolar area late Monday night.
Originally from Bihar, Nitin was employed at a warehouse in Amrawad Khurd, Kolar. According to SI Jogendra Negi, the accident occurred while Nitin was returning from a market visit with his colleague Mithun, after procuring supplies.
The mishap took place near Kajlikheda-Gol Gaon, where Nitin reportedly lost control of the two-wheeler, causing it to swerve and crash. Both men sustained injuries in the fall. Nitin suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
His colleague Mithun is reported to be out of danger. The Kolar police have registered a case, and further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident — including whether road conditions or vehicle malfunction played a role.
