KSRTC Bus Runs Over Child in Belagavi: Driver Arrested

Belagavi, Karnataka: A tragic accident occurred in Athani city when a KSRTC bus ran over 10-year-old Srujan Banderagar, killing him instantly. The incident, which was captured on CCTV, shows Srujan and other students crossing the road after a computer learning class. The boys had stopped to urinate by the roadside when the bus, en route to Karwar, struck Srujan.

The accident happened as the bus was reportedly speeding, leading to public outrage over the driver’s negligence. The local community has expressed their concern about the fast-moving bus and the lack of safety measures. The Athani police arrived at the scene, arrested the bus driver, and have initiated further investigation. A case has been filed at the Athani Police Station.
