The world's first and only Michelin-starred Indian vegetarian restaurant, Avatara, in association with Conosh, and Varq, an award-winning destination for modern Indian gourmet experiences in the heart of the Capital, presented a four-hand collaboration at the Taj Mahal in Delhi. This event showcased the culmination of vegetarian marvels and modern mastery.

New Delhi: Avatara, the world’s sole Michelin-starred Indian vegetarian restaurant, partnered with Conosh and Varq, a renowned modern Indian gourmet spot in Delhi, for a unique culinary event at the Taj Mahal. This collaboration marked an extraordinary fusion of vegetarian culinary marvels and contemporary mastery.

The event featured an exclusive 12-course vegetarian dining experience, combining the expertise of Chef Rahul Rana from Avatara Dubai and Chef Rajesh Singh, Executive Sous Chef at Taj Mahal, New Delhi. The menu showcased inventive dishes such as Kadalika (Raw banana chaat with avocado chutney and banana khakra), Alukam (Aloo espuma with jeera ice, komrophool bhaja, and chili mango chutney), Raktaphalam (Baked baby tomatoes ring with sun-dried tomato vada), Panasa (Jackfruit momo with sea buckthorn thukpa and black rice papad), and Kshira (Malpua waffle with daulat ki chaat, forest berries, and gold leaf).

Chef Rahul Rana expressed his excitement about the event, emphasizing the significance of returning to his homeland to showcase Avatara’s innovative vegetarian cuisine. He described the pop-up event as a celebration of India’s diverse food culture and Avatara’s gastronomy.

Chef Rajesh Singh from Taj Mahal, New Delhi, discussed the collaboration as a harmonious blend of culinary innovation and tradition. He underscored how Avatara’s vegetarian artistry and his commitment to modern Indian flavors aligned perfectly, creating a narrative that reflects the evolving tapestry of Indian cuisine.
