A man used Grubhub to order a milkshake from a restaurant. He called the company right away after discovering that he had received pee rather than the milkshake.
When a man took a sip of what he thought was a milkshake but was actually urine, he was left feeling “disgusted.” According to accounts, this occurred when the man placed a Grubhub meal order and the delivery driver for the business accidentally brought the incorrect cup.
According to Fox 59, Caleb Wood from Utah placed an order for fries and a milkshake from Chick-fil-A through the Grubhub app. “I inserted a straw into my delivered cup and took a sip when I first started eating my meal. He told the outlet, “I quickly realized that the cup the Grubhub driver had delivered to me was a warm cup of urine.”
As his next move, Wood immediately called the driver and informed him about the mistake. The driver went back to meet Wood and clear the confusion.
The driver told Wood that he often relieves himself in styrofoam cups that he keeps in his car while working long hours. While delivering Wood’s order he accidentally grabbed the wrong cup and ended up giving it to him instead of his milkshake.
Upon Wood’s initial contact with the company, a $18 refund was given for his $25 order. But afterwards, they also released a statement discussing the event.
“We terminated the driver’s employment with us and took prompt action with him. The company issued a statement saying, “We’re following up with the customer to apologize and are coaching the representative who was previously in touch with the customer.”
