Mahalingapur’s Ramzan Wins ₹50 Lakh on Kaun Banega Crorepati
Ramzan Malik Saba Firzade, a 22-year-old from Mahalingapur, has captured national attention after winning ₹50 lakh on the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.
Hailing from Chimmadagalli, Ramzan belongs to a financially modest family. His father, a gas welder, worked tirelessly to educate his four children. Despite these challenges, Ramzan remained focused on his studies and completed his graduation from SCP Degree College under the KLE Institute.
To fund his education, Ramzan juggled part-time jobs, working as a hotel service worker during the day and a night watchman at the KLE indoor stadium. He also prepared for competitive exams at S.H. Melavanki’s Akash Coaching Center.
After two failed attempts, Ramzan finally secured a spot on KBC in his third try. On January 10, he faced Amitabh Bachchan on the iconic hot seat in Mumbai. Displaying exceptional knowledge and composure, he answered 14 tough questions to win ₹50 lakh. Although he couldn’t answer the ₹1 crore question, his accomplishment was celebrated nationwide.
Returning home, Ramzan received a hero’s welcome with a bike rally organized by friends. The KLE Degree and PU Colleges, along with Akash Coaching Center, honored him for his incredible achievement.
“Winning ₹50 lakh is a dream realized,” Ramzan shared, thanking Amitabh Bachchan, the KBC team, his mentors, and supporters for their encouragement.
