The Mandya tourism department is rolling out a cutting-edge digital platform—a dedicated portal named Madhura Mandya and an accompanying mobile application—to enrich the travel experience for visitors. Spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Kumara, this initiative seeks to provide seamless access to Mandya’s diverse attractions.

Dubbed the Sugar City due to its extensive sugarcane fields, Mandya boasts a plethora of must-visit destinations, including KRS, Balmuri, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Melukote, Srirangapatna Fort, Ranganatha Swamy Temple, Tipu Summer Palace, Daria Daulat Bagh, Gumbaz, Shivanasamudra Falls, and Kokarebellur.

A comprehensive tourism hub

The newly introduced website and app will function as an all-in-one information hub, covering attractions across Mandya’s seven taluks. Besides renowned landmarks, it will highlight the region’s art, cuisine, and cultural festivities. Designed for convenience, this user-friendly platform ensures travelers can access up-to-date, reliable details, simplifying their trip planning.

Tourist spots are classified into four categories—spiritual, historical, natural, and miscellaneous—allowing visitors to tailor their itineraries. Additionally, the platform offers insights into local homestays, including contact details, enabling seamless accommodation arrangements.

Speaking to TOI, Raghavendra HB, Deputy Director of Tourism, stated, “Our goal is to position Mandya as a premier tourist hub in Karnataka, blending history, culture, and natural splendor. The website ensures tourists can effortlessly plan their journeys with just a few clicks.”
