Beltangady: Shreya Rai, seven months pregnant from Beltangady, presently residing in Dubai, died due to Covid-19 infection and pneumonia on Friday.
Shreya was being treated in a renowned Dubai hospital after her Covid infection was confirmed a few days ago. After a few days, her health began to deteriorate. On the morning of Friday, March 5, doctors announced her death.
Shreya Rai, a native of Chikkamagaluru’s Kalasa, completed her graduate and post-graduate studies at SDM college Ujire. She moved to Dubai after marrying Pawan, of Moodbidri origin.
Shreya’s untimely death has shocked her family, many friends, and well-wishers.
