Three more persons from DK test COVID-19 positive; Tally climbs to 69

Mangaluru: Three more persons tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, May 25. One death was also reported earlier in the day.

The three who tested positive for Covid-19 are a 55-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old man. They all arrived from Mumbai recently and are under quarantine.

With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has climbed to 69.

Though a 45-year-old man from Venoor in the Belthangady taluk succumbed to the disease yesterday and his throat swabs tests results came back positive for Covid-19, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made. The man was a driver by profession and worked for a cement shop in Belthangady. The district administration is currently tracing his contact history.
