An 82-year-old elderly man named Vasu Ranya embarked on a journey into the forest on May 21 but found himself lost on his way back. Despite enduring six days of hunger, relentless determination kept him going until he was finally found on May 26.
Vasu Ranya wandered through the forest, unable to locate his way back home. Facing the challenges of hunger, heavy rains, leeches, and wild animals, he sought refuge under a tree, where he spent six days and nights.
Led by officer Avinash Bhide, a dedicated disaster management team tirelessly searched every inch of the forest to find Vasu Ranya. Despite their efforts, they were unable to locate him. Concerns arose among locals that he might have fallen into a ravine or been attacked by wildlife.
In a stroke of luck, Vasu Ranya’s desperate cries for help reached the ears of the disaster management team as he stood atop a massive rock. Following his voice, they located him safe and sound under a tree.
