Strategic Growth
Mangaluru serves as a key hub for Air India Express, connecting the coastal city to eight Middle Eastern destinations, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Jeddah, catering to the expatriate community. Domestically, the airline flies to Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kannur, recently adding Pune to its roster.
The new Delhi and additional Mumbai flights provide enhanced connectivity for passengers transiting through these major hubs to international destinations.
Competition with IndiGo
IndiGo Airlines, Air India Group’s primary competitor, already operates three daily flights between Mumbai and Mangaluru and one daily flight to Delhi. However, Air India Express holds a significant edge in international routes, serving more Gulf destinations than IndiGo.
