Mangaluru: Arwin Chris D’Cunha and Slany Sharona D’Souza were crowned Baila King 2026 and Baila Queen 2026 at the grand finale of Mogachi Lahran – Naach Baila Naach Season 3, held at St Agnes auditorium on Sunday, September 13.
The winners emerged victorious after two competitive rounds at the much-awaited finale and took home a prize package worth ₹1 lakh. The event brought together dance, music and cultural performances, attracting an enthusiastic audience to the venue.
Arwin and Slany take top honours
Arwin Chris D’Cunha from Kulshekar and Slany Sharona D’Souza from Rosario Cathedral secured the top positions in the third season of the dance competition.
The duo of Charan and Sinora D’Souza finished as the first runners-up and received a prize package worth ₹50,000. Sandesh Monteiro and Siona D’Souza were declared the second runners-up and received ₹25,000.
The final rounds tested the contestants through high-energy dance performances, with the winners eventually taking the coveted titles after the intense competition.
Cultural celebrations add colour to finale
The finale was preceded by a cultural procession from Bendur to the venue, adding a festive atmosphere to the programme.
The event was formally inaugurated by Fr Rithesh A L Rodrigues, parish priest of Cascia, along with Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd; Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC Bank Ltd; entrepreneur Austin D’Souza; Edwin Pinto and Dora Pinto of Bejai; Yajnesh Barke, owner of Barke Friends; and Jessy Fernandes.
The programme featured a range of cultural and entertainment performances alongside the main dance competition.
Live music and traditional performances
A live brass band performance by St Rita Band and musical accompaniment by Vedson and his team added to the energy of the evening.
Vocal performances were presented by Shilpa Cutinha, Zeena Pereira, Robin Sequeira, Jason Lobo and Vincent Fernandes. The combination of live music and dance kept the audience engaged throughout the finale.
The programme also featured models from Wenz Modelling Academy, led by actress and trainer Wencita Dias. A traditional Pili Nalike performance by Barke Friends was another major attraction of the evening, adding a local cultural touch to the celebrations.
Organisers thank contestants and supporters
Vincent Fernandes expressed gratitude to the contestants, sponsors and audience members for supporting the event.
He said bringing the Naach Baila Naach concept to Mangaluru had been a long-standing dream after two successful seasons in Dubai. According to Fernandes, the response from contestants, sponsors and the public helped turn that vision into reality.
The event was compered by Lavita D’Souza, Sheldon Crasta and Vincent Mendonca.
Along with Fernandes, Nigel Pereira, Mukesh Benito, Liston D’Souza, Cletus Lobo and the wider organising team were appreciated by the audience for staging the show.
Season 3 concludes on a high note
With Arwin Chris D’Cunha and Slany Sharona D’Souza taking the top honours, the third season of Mogachi Lahran – Naach Baila Naach concluded with a blend of competitive dance, live music and traditional cultural performances.
The event also showcased local talent while bringing together performers, musicians, cultural artists and the audience for an evening of entertainment in Mangaluru.
