First Mangalorean to head Indian Club Bahrain
Anand Lobo served as the president of the Indian Club, Bahrain, during the 2013–2015 term and was notably the first Mangalorean to hold the post. The Indian Club is one of the most prominent and historic Indian expatriate institutions in Bahrain, with a large and diverse membership base.

He helped organise community meetings, cultural gatherings and outreach programmes, often coordinating with religious and social leaders. These efforts were focused on strengthening unity, preserving cultural identity and encouraging mutual support among expatriates.

From inter-community sports competitions to cultural celebrations and charity-linked events, he contributed organisational support and leadership guidance.
