Bantwal: Talwar Attack Attempt Near Deraje Bus Stand, Case Registered

Bantwal – Bantwal Rural Police have filed a case following a complaint by Ummar Farooq (48), a resident of Sajipamunnooru village, who alleged an attempted assault by two unidentified youths near Deraje bus stand in Sajipa Nadu village.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred on Wednesday when Farooq was traveling in his jeep towards Deralakatte. Two men on a motorcycle reportedly approached him and brandished a talwar (sword), allegedly trying to attack him.

Though the assailants missed their intended target, they struck the side mirror of Farooq’s vehicle, damaging it before fleeing the scene.

Following the complaint, police have registered a case under Sections 109, 324(4), read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). An investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the accused.
