Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya married Carnatic vocalist and Bharatanatyam dancer Sivasri Skandaprasad in a traditional wedding ceremony in Bengaluru. The event saw the presence of several BJP leaders, including Annamalai, Pratap Simha, Amit Malaviya, BY Vijayendra, and Union Minister V Somanna.
The bride, Sivasri Skandaprasad, was seen wearing a yellow Kanchipuram silk saree adorned with gold jewelry, while the groom, Tejasvi Surya, opted for a white and gold traditional outfit. In another set of wedding pictures, she changed into a red-maroon saree, while Surya donned an off-white ensemble.
Tejasvi Surya, a two-time Lok Sabha MP and the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), received best wishes from several party leaders and well-wishers.
Sivasri Skandaprasad, besides being a noted Carnatic singer and Bharatanatyam dancer, holds a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from Sastra University. However, she chose to follow her passion for the arts, earning a Bharatanatyam degree from the University of Madras. She has a strong social media presence, boasting 1.13 lakh Instagram followers and over 2 lakh YouTube subscribers. Her songs in Mani Ratnam’s “Ponniyin Selvan” brought her widespread recognition.
