BJP Stages Protest in Mangaluru Over FIR Against MLA Vedavyas Kamath

Mangaluru: The BJP Mangaluru City South unit staged a protest near Mini Vidhana Saudha on Tuesday, condemning the police action of filing an FIR against local MLA Vedavyas Kamath and the alleged assault on a Scheduled Caste youth by Congress workers.

Addressing the protest, MP Brijesh Chowta criticized the police, alleging that they registered an FIR against the BJP MLA without a proper inquiry while delaying action against Congress MLC Ivan D’Souza in a previous case. He further stated that the downfall of the Congress party would start from Karnataka.

The demonstration saw participation from BJP District President Satish Kumpala, Monappa Bhandari, former Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Mayor Manoj Kumar, Diwaker Pandeshwar, and other party leaders.
