In a new development in the Suhas Shetty murder investigation, police have interrogated two women wearing burqas who were present at the location where the suspect escaped by car after the killing.

Initial questioning revealed that the women were not directly linked to the crime. Authorities identified them as the aunt and cousin of Niyaz, the second accused in the case.

According to police sources, the two had gone to visit a sick family member living in an apartment in Bajpe. While heading back home, they stopped to collect a food order from a nearby eatery, situated close to the scene of the murder. At that moment, they noticed Niyaz running along the roadside.

The women stated during questioning that they approached Niyaz after witnessing what they assumed to be a road mishap. They maintained that their interaction was incidental and that they were unaware of the crime that had just occurred.

The police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details and examine any possible indirect links.
